A TOP TIP FOR CLEANERS

Today’s top tip is for cleaners.
I see the list below virtually every day when doing check-outs and it ends up costing the tenants extra money as it has to be re-done. The top notch cleaners I work with do this as standard, and whilst it might seem like common sense, it's surprising how often these items are missed.
Woodwork ensure doors and door frames are done as well as skirting and handrails . I so often see doors and frames that are overlooked
Windows clean the frames as well as the glass. The frame is so often overlooked by cleaners. Also check under the blinds/behind curtains to remove any lurking cobwebs
Taps when cleaning and descaling taps, clean and descale the underside of the taps and around the base of the taps
Extractor hoods if present, be sure to clean the back of the door which covers the hood as this is always overlooked. I also find the most overlooked item during a professional clean is the hood filter covers. Most click out and can be easily cleaned in a sink.
When you have finished cleaning carpets and empty the dirty water down a toilet, be sure to clean the toilet and make sure no dirt residue is left in the pan
Toilets clean the outside of the pan! This is one of my main bug bears!
I am not picking on cleaners, just pointing out what I see when doing check-outs where the property has been 'professionally cleaned'. Let work together to improve the services we offer.
